Georgias Downtown Academy Enters a Partnership with Discovery Education

The partnership will enable the creation of dynamic digital learning experiences for all its students.

Georgias Downtown Academy has partnered with Discovery Education, a global leader in education technology. Downtown Academy teachers will soon have access to award-winning digital products that foster curiosity and create dynamic learning experiences for all students.

Downtown Academy was founded as an initiative of Downtown Ministries to better serve the children of Athens, Georgia. After years of developing relationships with the community's families through sports and after-school programs, Downtown Ministries believed that providing a Christian education option to the families of K-5 students would aid in the organization's goal of investing in future leaders.

The Downtown Academy staff is committed to supporting each student's growth and development so that they can reach their full potential. To accomplish this goal, school leaders sought high-quality digital resources that would allow teachers to create engaging lessons that linked classroom instruction to the outside world. After thoroughly reviewing, Downtown Academy chose Discovery Education as its digital content provider.

These resources, sourced from trusted partners, are aligned with state and national standards and assist educators in incorporating the outside world into their daily teaching and learning practices.
